TAX REFORM 101: 1040EZ REVISION for those CAMPAIGN DONATIONS "Averaging $27.00" - Bernie Sanders

STEP ONE: OBTAIN A TAX CREDIT FOR SUPPORTING GRASSROOTS CANDIDATES & NON PROFIT PUBLICATIONS (Real Facts)

As we all are aware, the 2016 Presidential Campaign set new records for the rank and file, lunch bucket blue-collar and millennial voters to make affordable, reasonable donations to support the candidates and causes to which they hold dear. These are clearly tax-deductible contributions for those who do not qualify to itemize deductions cannot benefit like the big boys. The 1040-EZ form requires Congressional revision to allow legitimate political campaign donations and emergency disaster relief for the majority of taxpayers.

The major revisions below are in lines 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d with line 10 as a dollar amount to be deducted directly from the total Tax owing as a credit. This is the White House Tax Reform Week, therefore in that spirit, a revision to the 1040EZ.

IF WE ARE TO ENACT CHANGE THIS IS URGENT

If America is to continue to invigorate a grassroots movement to reform the political campaign donation process where the wealthiest of the wealthy essentially buy elections, revisions to the tax code are the first target. This is one small first step to truly make campaign donations inclusive for all Americans. Line (9a) provides for those (i.e.) $27.00 campaign contributions.

The above revision in (9b) addresses the need to support the legitimate online watch dog groups and publications* out of the mainstream media dominated by corporations that only have their interest in mind, not yours.

Equally important during the catastrophic devastation of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, small, large or in-between charitable donations in line (9c) to the Red Cross or other non-profits will be recognized as a direct credit that will serve to increase donations. These dollars are critical to volunteer groups that offer first and long-term relief.

My goal is to reach as many mainstream Americans no matter their political leaning to give every individual some economic influence in elections other than their vote (which may be influenced by Super Pacs and the Koch brothers and their trusts).

The majority of American tax filers fall in a large demographic group comprised of Single Individual taxpayers with no dependents and earn less than $20,700.00.

In their infinite wisdom, IRS bureaucrats designed the tax forms to make it "easy" for this large group to complete their own returns quickly and without much stress.
Thus over a course of years, this single page form (once a half-page) with perhaps 15 relative line entries, is now complimented with a 46 page Instruction Booklet. This is no typo. The instructions to complete the standard 1040 is 106 pages. The standard 1040 and all of the loopholes and line entries that "adjust" taxable income also require a complete overhaul. This requires serious Congressional study.

MY GOAL IS TO GET THIS PROPOSED REVISION IN THE HAND OF EVERY SENATOR, REPRESENTATIVE IN WASHINGTON.

If you agree, PLEASE pass along, attach to email a copy of this blog to your Congressional Representative and your State Legislators as well.
