Meacham without any hesitation puts forth a carefully crafted assessment. “Never in the history of this country have we experienced a President who does not learn from his mistakes along the way. President Kennedy faced the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba immediately upon becoming President. Rather than placing blame on others he took full responsibility. He went forward careful to not make a similar mistake in his administration.” This President is incapable of learning on the job. Worse, he has no interest in learning.
