IT'S TIME TO REMOVE ALL THINGS DONALD TRUMP
AS COWARDICE IS PERVASIVE WITHIN A REPUBLICAN PARTY VOID OF COURAGE
Oprah, one voice of universal courage |
The WORLD is outraged by these the latest repugnant
words of our President. The callous racist remarks will prove unequaled in American
History. All fifty-three nations of Africa demand retraction or formal apology.
Haiti, Mexico joins the growing list of even our loyal allies in Europe and
around the world.
What could be worse?
Speaker Ryan cowers in his reaction the words are “unfortunate,
unhelpful.” Speaker Paul Ryan, the most powerful Republican leader in the House
fails to reject the President’s remarks or condemn as un-Republican. When he
states the remarks as “unhelpful” he speaks to own truth. Ryan is a “weasel” as
one pundit described his lack of a “spine.”
The Republicans by their silence, gives credence and
encouragement to White Supremacists as well as placing our troops operating
within African nations they depend for personal security. Time will prove if
they suffer a fate of their brothers in Nigeria. The President and those
Republicans that “fall in line” in cowardice will face the wrath of this nation
and voters outside the beguiled 32% who comprise the party base.
Had it not been for the courage of Senator Durbin
(D-IL) and his account of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) taking a face-to-face
rebuke to the President in the closed meeting, we would not possess what we
knew of this man.
Two Senators present categorically deny they “do not recall”
the vile words of the President while the remaining contingency of Republicans
only displayed their cowardice by silence.
The stark reality of these times in Washington is that
it replicates the political climate of Germany in the 1930’s when a small
minority of hate-filled racist Nazi Party bullied their rise to lead.
“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting. “Take them out.” The Neo-Nazi and Alt-Right groups will only garner strength and
increase the hate. Examine these words and
substitute for Haitian… Jews, Muslims, Asians, Mexicans, Latin Americans, academia,
gays, and the free press.
Let those Americans who condemn this President’s
continued racism reflect, hope and pray that “We the People” stand as one in a
bipartisan response.
Let us pray the Democratic Party stand in unison, but
with a tempered response demanding an apology and calling for a censure by
Congress.
Finally, let all of the human community hope and pray
that another global platform arise for Oprah to articulate an appropriate and
eloquent universal response as rebuttal.
