PRESIDENT & AG BARR BLATANT INTEREFERNCE IN THE ROGER STONE SENTENCING SIGNALS A WARNING

AN ATTACK UPON OUR JUDICIAL SYSTEM OUR LIBERTIES AND THE RULE OF LAW IS A STEP TOWARD TYRANNY

In a matter of mere days AG Bill Barr allowed a leak from the DOJ (Department of Justice) that he as the top man would be reviewing the sentencing guidelines by his own prosecutors. Standard practice within the DOJ allows the prosecution team to follow federal guidelines for sentencing of a defendent found guilty in court. The AG action soon went from a scandal to a constitutional crisis.

Bill Barr makes a weak attempt to explain or defend his position issuing statements that are reminiscent of Donald Rumsfeld. Worse, President utilizes the venue of Twitter to add incriminating evidence that makes Barr's "job impossible." It is Bill Barr using his position to offering confusing legalese to further a contradiction in his declarations.

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell issued a statement attacking Barr's action and in support for Judge Amy Jackson.  

"The Judges of this Court base their sentencing decisions on careful consideration of the actual record in the case before them. ...Public criticism or pressure is not a factor." 

Roger Stone is the former campaign advisor convicted last November on "seven counts of lying and obstructing Congress, witness tampering" and his role in obtaining assistance of Wiki Leaks. 

Of course the President has been tweeting for months of his criticism of how his closest ally; Roger Stone had been given horrible treatment from arrest and throughout his trial and conviction. Trump falsely argues the foreman in the trial was biased citing Fox News as his source.

The President is emboldened by the failed impeachment vote he begIns to display his muscle. Voters in Maine should question Sen. Susan Collins remark "I think the President has learned his lesson. What's worse than being impeached?" Really?  Judge Jackson will rule on sentencing this coming week. In spite of new prosecutors (appointed by Barr) to walk back previous guidelines it is hopeful she will make an independent decision and hand out a stiff sentence involving prison time, not just probation.

The case will then be in the hands of Trump whose only recourse to save Stone will be a Presidential pardon. This would amount to a denigration of our judicial branch. It is paramount to court decisions in Russia where a judge hears evidence but confers by phone to the Kremlin for their decsision. 

Prior to his interjction, Barr issued the incredulous edict that law enforcement will not and cannot begin "an investigation into any candidate's presidential campaign" without him signing off on such action. He is now running the Justice Department based not on the rule of law "but on the political preferences of the President" states Joyce Vance.

In recent days Bill Barr is now looking into the Michael Flynn conviction and sentencing. Flynn is attempting to walk back his guilty plea and there is every reason to believe Barr will act to lessen any punishment.

If you recall when Flynn was proven guilty as charged largely based on the Mueller Repot, Judge Jackson remarked to the DOJ attorneys, "This reads like treason." This indicated the contents of the Mueller brief found grave offenses by Flynn. Some months ago I searched online for the original indictment and it is no longer available. The public needs to know the content of what amounts to near treason, betrayal of country at best.

Barr has also announced a further investigation into the work of Rudy Giuliani's findings of corruption on the part of the Bidens. Outrageous, as Rudy and his made-up conclusions has been univrsally debunked by House Managers during their impeachment presentation. 

All of Barr's interventions and interjections in these legal matters undermine our Department of Justice, Federal Courts and the efficacy of our justice system in pursuing the truth and upholding the law.  Our Repblic owes our very existence on the Rule of Law, not on obedience to a monarch or authoritarian. One thousand Historians have signed a letter demanding Bill Barr resign as Attorney Genergal. Some will see this as stagecraft by democratic liberal defenders of our Constitution. 

This is a serious and grave attack upon the Republic. Our justice system is endangered. If Barr and Trump continue to usurp the courts what we have left? It will result in a legal enforcement and justice system exactly as embraced by one Vladimir Putin.

As patriots, Americans must open their eyes to the path toward Tyranny as it will be a threat to each and every critic of the administration. It is conceivable, the free pressand political figures will come uder harassment and possible arrest and punishment. It is not a stretch of the imagination to conclude one day this suppression will hit home with every American.
