For KGB Agent Putin "It's All About the PASTA!

For KGB Agent Putin "It's All About the PASTA!"

 - James Kennedy

Or, it is definitely about the past. A youthful Vladimir Putin began his career with the KGB assigned to Dresden, East Germany as the Berlin Wall fell and East Germany opened to the West. It did not sit well with this young nationalist and patriot.

In subsequent years, the Soviet Union (USSR) collapsed. Russia became... well, Russia but was no longer a superpower second to USA. It was a tragic and perhaps traumatic life event for the KGB agent. Putin had a "career" with the intelligence agency, but the life following is more adeptly seen as his ascent to President, now autocrat, or oligarch-in-chief.

Today there are numerous print and media articles presenting opinions as to what Putin will do or not do regarding Ukraine.

For twenty years American, British, French intelligence etc...have tried to get into his head with little or no success. He has aspired to keep all matters private and he has done exactly that. Think of it this way; the complexity of knowing Putin and his thought process is as difficult as it is simple to know his asset, Donald Trump.

World leaders have their legacy speeches and quotes memorialized. An American President once said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"

Putin was a child at that time. Perhaps those words left an impression. Afterall, those precise words can be directed toward any nation, any generation, at any time. History will record Putin's words; "The collapse of the Soviet Union is the worst catastrophe of the twentieth century."

And he is on a mission to restore an autocratic empire  and as leader will gain more power with each and every acquisition in Eastern Europe and Asia to follow Ukraine. This will be his legacy and greatest accomplishment for Russia. This is one the reason democracy is under attack here and around the world.

Last year as plans were made for the border crisis, Putin began a revisionist Russia-Ukraine history that was fed to all military personnel. He writes of the Ukraine as a long time aggressor and intruder toward Russia and that Ukraine had no right in leaving the Soviet Union. This misinformation campaign has succeeded within his own population. Putin has added to the false narrative by allegations that "genocide is occurring in Dunbas region upon Russian separatists.  There are three generations that were not yet born when Putin's revisionist history was published. The same can be said for the United States regarding 911 and the Afghanistan war of twenty years.

Hold your friends close, your enemies closer. Since Putin concocted a revised constitution as President for life. He has benefited from his lengthy term and has held an advantage over Bush, Obama and now Biden. If he faces internal opposition they simply disappear. Putin knows his enemies and how to read them. It is gives him an edge, especially during his manufactured and elevated crisis. He has succeeded to make much ado about nothing. Diplomacy has failed to this point due to him and for no other reason. There is no way to negotiate with him as his demands and claims are insanely outrageous!

Diplomats must be diplomatic. They cannot meet with his foreign officials and merely dismiss him. "You're at it again with your nonsense and military buildup at Ukraine's border.(laugh, laugh) Now send them home and go back to a corner in the Kremlin."

In Munich, President Zelensky is right that the West has bordered on appeasement. He wants action before Ukraine is overwhelmed by Russian forces. Zelensky has remained calm to this point avoiding any statement for public consumption that war was eminent. He has avoided panic up until now within Kiev. President Biden has "leaked" intelligence that Russia will invade at anytime and Kiev is a target. This revelation has Putin fuming and redirecting efforts to find the mole within.

No doubt, Zalensky and his circle wanted and perhaps demanded the "economic sanctions" be put in place long ago, at the outset. One can only wonder how similar sanctions have been put in place by Obama and beyond with little effect as far as Americans can determine. The sanctions should have been enacted weeks ago if they are truly a deterrent.

Putin is hell-bent to rid Ukraine and himself of President Zalensky and replace him with his own asset such as the custom in all of his republics. Make no mistake, If Kiev falls so too all of Ukraine. The sheer mass of Russian troops are the greatest since WWII.

More and more Americans are coming to realize the darkness of Putin's Gambit. Our media is performing as they should by educating the public. But there is another dark side in America, the Radical Right of the Republican Party and the domestic terrorist groups operating within. Putin has appealed to these groups over time even before Trump. He has won them over! He is seen as a respected leader within their ranks. They are choosing repressive autocracy over democracy!

As others have proclaimed, this is a time that will mark future history. The US and NATO allies cannot capitulate, cannot appease or give in.

Can it be just a nostalgic LOOK BACK TO THE USSR, FORMER SOVIET UNION?
