IT IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE NOT TO PROVIDE THE UKRAINIAN MILITARY THE MEANS NOT TO ONLY STOP PUTIN BUT WIN THIS WAR OUTRIGHT and reduce Russia’s future capacity for heinous crimes in the future.

Russian tanks captured by Ukraine and pulled by farmer tractors are not enough

At this moment Russia has taken a step back to reposition, reinforce and reconstitute the resolve with the addition of foreign mercenaries. The talk everywhere is that Putin plans now to focus on the Donbas and territory to the East. There is a decisive battle coming. The Western Allies know it.  We all know it.

 

Instead of four axis he will mount a single massive push to encircle the bulk of the Ukraine’s army and territorial defense force, then engage in a juggernaut until total annihilation. Putin’s new general will proceed in the scorched earth tactics to commit even more heinous crimes against humanity. Ukrainian desire, resolve to fight will survive but little will remain to fight to save their country.

American have felt the consequences of the forever wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. They sapped our strength and took countess lives in our military (and collateral innocent lives as well). In addition, those wars had a mounting cost of trillions of dollars that would have been better spent.

 

It is inconceivable to Imagine that the U.S. will fail to provide an all-out defense of Ukraine. It is more than urgent. The days ahead provide an opportunity that was never present in WWII. That is, a moment when the Allies could act to stop (modern day Hitler) Putin in Eastern Ukraine right now. The brave people pf Ukraine can win this war and  the United States will be forever damned if we fail to provide all of the weapons needed.

 

Millions of ordinary Americans and citizens within NATO have heard the constant impassionate pleas of Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy for the modern weapons they need to defeat Putin in this most horrible war. As war crime allegations and evidence mount, the US and our allies have been quick to condemn Russia but not taken enough action.

The daily military briefings have become repetitive for six weeks. Every Ukraine within government to the citizen witnessing evil on the street cry for the United States to supply the sophisticated weapons to defeat the Russian missile attacks and long-range artillery fire. The old soviet style weapons are simply not enough and the specific ordinance supply required will run out

This whole question of allowing Polish and other nations to transfer their MIGs to Ukrainian forces is a fiasco. At the start of the US first response, we bolstered our eastern presence by sending the most advanced and effective air defense tactical weapons. But it is worthless until Putin decides to attack the East.

The MIGS should have been transferred a month or more ago. There should have been no public discussion of private talks to do so. Whether a Lend-Lease type of transaction or a clandestine effort those weapons should be in the hands of Ukrainian forces.

 

It seems beyond prudence that the United States has no presence in the international waters of the Black Sea. At least three carrier groups should have been deployed as first a deterrence and secure shipping lanes to Odessa. This port cannot fall to the Russians or all is lost. The U.S. and our Allies, while we have them must act.

There is no time for any meeting in Brussels, no time to ask Congress – send the arms now and ask for forgiveness later.
