TONIGHT'S DEBATE: A FAILURE OF TWO PARTIES

TONIGHT'S DEBATE: A FAILURE OF TWO PARTIES

NO MATTER HOW YOU CUT IT, AMERICA IS SHORT CHANGED WITH THE MOST UNFAVORABLE CANDIDATES IN MEMORY

A LEGACY NOT OF BUILDING BUT IMPLOSION

 September 26, 2016

As 80 - 100 million Americans tune into the debate this evening there is one truth that should become evident. Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the two most polarizing candidates to emerge from our election process. Over the past eighteen months the selection of Democratic and Republican is an embarrassment and a sham.

As far as the Republicans are concerned, who could imagine two years ago that among seventeen aspiring Presidents that Donald Trump would be the "final solution." Trump is so out of touch with the plight of ordinary Americans and has made no effort to understand the real issues. Trump's agenda and campaign centers on taking full advantage of the divisions within America.

The single perception upon which he rests his campaign is his recognition that among a large number of blue collar white males the common denominator is "anger." He tapped into this anger and mobilized a large group into a following that is dangerous, ill informed and best compared to the Fascism the world faced during WWII. Many compare him with Hitler or Stalin who by their individual insane ideology murdered millions. They rose to power through bigotry, hate and racism. They turned a hatred upon groups of people and deemed them to be disposable. Donald Trump to date has adopted the same sick agenda.

AS SECRETARY OF STATE, I FOLLOWED BILL'S ADVICE: "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL"

On the other hand, Democratic leadership has followed a four-year plan to prepare for the coronation of Hillary Clinton. As Secretary of State it has become increasingly clear she used the influence of office to garner solemn pledges of super delegates, solicited millions of dollars in donations from not only Wall Street but that of foreign nations to the Clinton Foundation. Trump has his own questionable foundation.

What the two have brought to the fore is how their Foundations is now threatening the very foundation of our democracy. Neither candidate is trustworthy and unpopular.

The two Party system has broadcast on a daily basis how both Democrats and Republicans have deteriorated into a divide and gridlock where it is clear the most wealthy are truly pulling the strings, not The People.

Overall, the entire campaign has focused on the trivial, sensational and mudslinging. What you will not hear in tonight's debate is discussion of the most critical challenges to America's survival. You will not hear discussion is the corruption of campaign donations, Super Pacs and these nefarious Foundations.

Among twenty some candidates only one has stayed the course. Only one candidate has identified the dangers to the freedom and well being of all Americans. Only one candidate has formed a platform with vision. Only one candidate has shocked the political powers with a campaign funded by millions of everyday Americans making small contributions that actually exceeded the big money interests.

Of course this candidate is Bernie Sanders. Within weeks of the Democratic Convention only the courageous journalists and political minds brought to light how the party elites "rigged" the system and undermined the voting process.

In the previous elections over twenty some years we have heard this election is most important and critical choice for American voters. We have heard it so many times. The Election of 2016 is now depicted as the most critical choice among voters in history.

The sad thing is that no matter the outcome of the pundit opinions of who won tonight's debate, the eventual winner will be a minority President, unfavorable, untrustworthy and unworthy to serve this nation. We will have a President who will have the highest unfavorable rating ever. It is an embarrassment. Worse, for all those who are angered and all those who became a vital political revolution, it will be business as usual in Washington and a nation seen as out of control.

EXCUSE ME, I TOLD YOU SO
