THROWING A CHANGE-UP: TIGER NICHOLAS CASTELLANOS DESERVES OUR VOTE TO THE ALL-STAR TEAM
Friday, June 8th, 2018
For over one-hundred years, Americans have taken comfort and placed their trust in the collection of baseball stats, facts, analytics, standings and the recollections of masterful storytellers such as Ernie Harwell or Vince Sculley whenever they relayed an accurate and vivid depiction of the game from memory.
Baseball has long been an "institution" in this country. We see the standings and the stats right there on the sports page each day. The baseball statisticians and the press do not put a spin or misconstrue facts such as crowd size, who has a bigger bat or that this umpire should step down or recuse himself.
No matter what we hear from the White House, there is no witch hunt, fake news, frame-up or collusion when take refuge in following the daily news cycle of baseball. As for decades, there exists a healthy debate among players and fans as to who is the best. There is discussion and always room to argue but in the end, respect opposing views and agree to disagree.

TIME FOR FANS TO VOTE FOR THEIR
FAVORITE PLAYERS TO TAKE THE FIELD FOR BADEBALL’S CLASSIC
ALL STAR GAME
AND THIS A SHOUT-OUT TO DETROIT AND BASEBALL FANS EVERYWHERE TO SPEND A FEW MOMENTS TO VOTE FORRIGHT FIELDER NICK CASTELLANOS
Should the true, die hard baseball fans fail to vote Nicholas
Castellanos as starter to
this year’s All-Star game it will serve as an injustice for him, the Detroit
Tiger organization and to the best traditions in our game. It is not so much as
the game itself, but the individual honor to the player. (A list of facts / stats
will follow at the end).
For many, this is ho-hum and a non-event during the "dog days of summer" where once again not much rides on the outcome. The winner's advantage for World Series home field advantage I believe was an act of possible "collusion" among National League team owners as a long losing streak shortened odds and revenue.
Now that the NHL Washington Capitols won their first Stanley Cup in 44 years over a spectacular first year Vegas Golden Knights. The American pastime is now in full swing as we turn our attention to life on the baseball diamond. The "Boys of Summer" are back taking front and center in the daily news cycle, at least in sports.
ALL-STAR VOTING IS OFTEN SEEN A POPULARITY CONTEST
Since Major League Baseball and the team owners devised the marketing tool of allowing fans to vote for the position players they succeeded in generating more enthusiasm for the sport.
However, a definitive downside surfaced when fans of one city begin to stuff the ballot box (vote online) for their team to show-up the competition. Such was the case a few seasons ago, where Kansas City fans acted in "collusion" in casting votes only for Royals. They came close to succeeding although it did not demand a "Special Counsel" to be named such as Robert Mueller to sort out the mess.
COLLECTION OF BASEBALL STATS IS THE EPITOME OF WHAT AMERICA CAN RELY AS FACT AS IT APPEARS IN THE PRESS. IT IS TRUTH OVER PROPAGANDA WE HEAR ELSEWHERE

On June 8th, the MLB website posted a piece, "The
top ten most improved hitters in the game." The criterion focuses on
the newer analytics such as most hard hit balls, percentage, loft angle,
etc.
But they seem to downplay the oldest and time tested stat of batting average. Thus far, Castellanos
is batting a remarkable .330
2017 season batting average: .273
Castellanos Career average is: .272
The fact Nick is batting .330
is 58 points higher than last year and 59 points
above his career average.
It takes only a matter
of a few minutes of your time to sign up to vote. You can return to the site
and vote 5 times total.
If you like vote for
just all Tigers or Nick Castellanos as any vote you cast for say M Betts, Aaron.
Judge, Mike Trout and even J.D. Martinez will only decrease his chances by
offsetting your Castellanos vote. Don’t waste a vote on those guys as they
will garner enough votes from larger cities and fan base.
VOTE TIGERS!
VOTE NICHOLAS CASTELLANOS!
