MATTHEW WHITAKER IS UNFIT FOR THE ROLE AS "ACTING ATTORNEY GENERAL"

This email secured and published by Miami New Times* is all one needs to know of Matthew Whitaker's character to intimidate by way of his prior position to strong arm and silence any opponent, critic or threat. Does this strategy sound familiar?

The language, tone and content contained in Whitaker's message is typical of a Trump attorney. In this message he is addressing yet another former U.S. Attorney who has filed complaints against Whitaker's employer, World Patent Marketing. The complainant indicates the existence of previous emails received from Whitaker. In this email the sender A Rudsky, alleges that Whitaker is "party to a scam"  and "...You will be exposed."

Whitaker responds in the Trumpian manner of taking the offensive warning the writer of taking legal action and using his former U.S. Attorney status to bolster his macho stance. "Your emails... appear to be an apparent attempt attempt at possible blackmail or extortion." This coming from an advisor of World Patent Marketing which was eventually ruled by the Federal Trade Commission as guilty of bilking millions of dollars from unsuspecting clients drawn in by Whitaker's own video marketing campaign! Earlier this year the company was ordered to pay $26 million in damages. Is this the legal background of an Attorney General?

Matthew Whitaker as the Acting AG endangers the Department of Justice in the sense that any current litigation by the office will no doubt be counter sued in both criminal and civil matters arguing that Whitaker is not a legitimate appointment. The DOJ could then lose many of their litigation.

If Whitaker is allowed to continue in this capacity for even a short period of time he will further damage the credibility of our Justice system. Whether his illegal interference in the Mueller Investigation and his illegitimate role may destroy our Department of Justice. But, perhaps this is exactly what Trump in his quest for power and authoritarian rule wishes to achieve. Whether by choice or being duped, Whitaker is subject to potential criminal behavior. Yes that is, if this President is ever stopped! 

Matthew Whitaker must be Removed, not Recused!

The last thing Washington D.C. needs is another new attorney, especially occupying highest office in the DOJ. The city is overpopulated with lawyers of every persuasion including those that are honest and those that are unethical by nature in their practice. There are several other candidates that far surpass the resume of Matthew Whitaker. His recent history proves he adapted his role to match the image of a Trump  attorney. A lawyer with the unscrupulous methods of a Michael Cohen. He is The Donald's new fixer.

The photocopy of Whitaker's email is sufficient evidence for Congress or some other entity to request the acting AG be removed, not recused. There are other arguments and opinions of how his leapfrogging over the Deputy Attorney General does not follow the procedures for the succession of filling the vacancy left by the forced resignation of Jeff Sessions. There is strong legal opinions that Whitaker's appointment is unconstitutional for one lack of Senate confirmation, does not fulfill the Vacancy Act provisions and is potentially an obstruction of justice on the part of this President and Whitaker himself.
